Virus: A Poem for Our Time
Virus Silently you make your rounds bringing suffering and death, suffocating your victims with fluid-filled lungs. surviving by multiplying in your unsuspecting hosts who go about their daily routines unknowingly infecting others. Five days later: red watery eyes, sneezing begins, dry cough, sleep interrupted, fever comes next, Is it the flu? No something more Sinister, a novel virus. No human has immunity to the microscopic invader who destroys our economy, and kills our parents and grandparents. Life as we know it, changes forever.
